After almost six years of amazing sessions and countless memories at The Royale, the Wednesday Night Sessions are changing locations. We are so grateful to the amazing friends, musicians, bartenders, DJ’s, MC’s, doormen, locals, artists, and most importantly all of YOU who came through Royale over the last five and a half years and made The Wednesday Night Sessions a legendary musical experience for our community… more below
Wednesday Night Sessions moving to Mojito 2010
We are sad to leave our family at Royale and want to give big love to Troubleman, Randy, Johnny Venetti, Gedeon, Jazz Mafia, Hot Pocket, the countless MC’s and musicians, Mitch, Big G, Tiara, Jason, and the whole Royale staff for giving us a home away from home.
The good news is we’re not going very far. The Wednesday Night Sessions’ legacy continues in 2010 across the street at Mojito (1337 Grant Avenue). We’re steppin’ up the night, keepin’ it in the neighborhood and keepin the party crackin’. The Park band will be holding down every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at Mojitos with Freestyle Olympics champion Wonway Posibul as master of ceremonies and the futuristicsexysoul sounds of DJ Whooligan. As always the mic will be passed around, musicians will be throwin’ down and the party will be bigger and better than ever. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays DJ Whooligan and Wonway will be kickin’ it old school with two turntables and a microphone. MC’s and musicians will be trading bars with two legendary DJ’s. We will also be featuring surprise special guests every month. The New Wednesday Night Sessions at Mojito will kick off on JAN 27, with The Park Band and a surprise special guest.
BUT there are still two Wednesday’s left at ROYALE so come out and help us make our last two sessions there ones to be remembered. All the crews are coming out to get down for the final sessions before we take it across the street in 2010. This Wed (12/23) check out our Supertaster/Park mash up.
